Botanical stylists for interiors

We are not a street florist. Little Bloomers Atelier designs living plant systems for rooms — foliage, vessels, and care logic that match Lyon’s apartment architecture.

Rooted on Rue de la République

Our studio base sits at 18 Rue de la République in the 2nd. Site work travels to Presqu'île salons, Croix-Rousse ateliers, and courtyard doors across the peninsula.

Design first, stems second

Every proposal starts with light maps and traffic paths. Plants are chosen after we know how shutters close, where pets pass, and how often someone waters.

What “botanical styling” means here

Botanical styling is the craft of arranging living and dried plant material as part of an interior, not as a one-day gift bouquet. We consider leaf scale against ceiling height, pot diameter against parquet borders, and climbing height against cornice lines. On Lyon’s Presqu'île, where rooms often run long and narrow, we favour vertical layers and slim vessels. On Croix-Rousse, where light pours through tall atelier windows, we use denser canopies that soften glare without blocking the Saône view when shutters are open.

Clients hire us when a room feels empty despite furniture, when a courtyard feels hard, or when previous plants failed because light and water were guessed wrong.

Our background

The atelier grew from residential projects in Lyon and Villeurbanne where interior designers needed a plant specialist who could speak in centimetres and care weeks, not only Latin names. We partner with local nurseries for stock and keep a small vessel library for try-before-you-buy sessions at the Rue de la République address. Installs are handled by our own team; we do not subcontract watering to anonymous networks.

How we work with households

What we do not do

We do not run a walk-in flower counter, wedding floristry programmes, or hospital delivery routes. We do not sell cut stems as a primary retail product. If you need a same-day bouquet for a dinner table, a neighbourhood florist will serve you better. If you need a room or courtyard that stays green through winter heating and summer shutters, we are the right studio.

Languages and access

Consultations run in English and French. Building access notes (codes, digicodes, courtyard keys) stay in our project file and are deleted on request after the final visit. Staircases without lifts are noted early — we plan vessel weight accordingly for Croix-Rousse climbs.
